About GT3Designs

GT3Designs is an independent automotive accessory brand specializing in vehicle-specific phone mounts, wireless charging mounts and track-device mounts for Porsche interiors.

Founded in 2026 by Porsche enthusiast Mazen Elhechi, GT3Designs develops made-to-order mounting solutions for the Porsche 911 (992 and 991), Porsche 718 and Porsche 981. Each product is designed around the geometry of the specific interior rather than adapting a universal mount to fit.

Our goal is simple: create mounting solutions that look like they belong in the car, remain stable during real-world driving, and can be installed without suction cups, adhesive, drilling or permanent modification to the vehicle.

Built Because I Couldn't Find the Mount I Wanted

GT3Designs started with my own car and one simple problem: I couldn't find a phone mount I actually wanted to install in a Porsche.

Most of the options I found involved suction cups, adhesive pads, bulky brackets or positions that looked out of place inside an interior that Porsche had spent so much time designing.

I wanted something different.

A mount that used the existing geometry of the car. Something that could be installed and removed without permanently modifying the interior. Something rigid enough for spirited driving, but discreet enough that it didn't look like an aftermarket accessory had simply been stuck onto the dashboard.

So I started designing one myself.

The first prototypes were created for my own use. From there came repeated revisions, different materials, fitment adjustments, stronger mounting points, different viewing angles and countless small changes that only become obvious once you actually live with a product inside the car.

What began as a personal project eventually became GT3Designs.

Today, the same approach is used across every product we develop: start with the car, understand the problem, prototype the solution, test it, improve it and only then release it.

Meet the Founder

Mazen Elhechi, Founder of GT3Designs

GT3Designs was founded by Mazen Elhechi, a Porsche enthusiast with a background in technology and hands-on product development.

GT3Designs is based in the United Arab Emirates and operates as GT3Designs FZE in the Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone.

GT3Designs is not a large automotive accessories company, and that is intentional.

I remain directly involved in the products, from the initial idea and CAD development through prototyping, materials, fitment testing, revisions, customization and customer feedback.

That direct connection with owners has shaped the products considerably. Some of the most important improvements to our mounts have come from customers telling me exactly what they liked, what could be stronger, how they use their cars and what they would change.

Instead of treating a mount as a finished product once it goes on sale, I treat it as something that can continue to evolve.

That is why the current GT3Designs range is at version 2.3. Each version number represents an actual design revision based on testing and real-world use, not simply a change in product name. After repeated rounds of refinement, the design is now mature.

GT3Designs develops mounting solutions specifically for Porsche interiors.

Porsche 911 992

Vehicle-specific phone and device mounts designed for the Porsche 911 992 generation, including 992.1 and compatible 992.2 interiors, in left-hand and right-hand drive. The 992 mount fits every 992 variant that shares the standard interior: Carrera, Targa, Turbo, GT3 and GT3 RS. Cars with the Heritage Design interior have a glovebox without the pen holder, so GT3Designs makes a dedicated Heritage version of the 992 mount that anchors without it.

Mounting solutions developed around the shared glovebox geometry of the Porsche 991, 718 and 981 interiors. One design fits the whole family: the 991 in Carrera, Targa, Turbo, GT3 and GT3 RS form; the 718 Cayman, Boxster, GT4, GT4 RS, Spyder and Spyder RS; and the 981 Cayman, Boxster, GT4 and Spyder.

Available configurations include magnetic phone mounting, wireless charging and a 25.4 mm RAM-ball track mount.

The current generation has gone through several structural revisions to increase strength and stability, particularly for heavier devices and more demanding driving.

Designed Around the Car, Not Adapted to It

A universal phone holder has to work in hundreds of different cars.

GT3Designs takes the opposite approach.

We design around a particular Porsche interior and use the existing structure and geometry of that interior to create the mounting point.

That allows us to concentrate on details that are difficult to achieve with a universal mount:

• Where the phone sits relative to the driver
• How much the mount moves under load
• Whether important controls remain accessible
• Whether cupholders and storage compartments can still be used
• How easily the mount can be installed or removed
• How the contact surfaces interact with leather or Race-Tex
• How the mount looks when viewed as part of the interior

The result is a mounting solution designed for a particular Porsche rather than a generic holder with a Porsche compatibility label added to it.

How We Develop Our Products

Every GT3Designs product begins with the vehicle rather than the accessory.

1. Identify the mounting opportunity

We first look for an existing part of the interior that can provide a secure mounting point without drilling, adhesive or permanent modification.

The objective is to work with the vehicle rather than alter it.

2. Design and prototype

The mount is designed digitally and then physically prototyped.

At this stage, small differences matter.

A few millimetres can determine whether a mount sits correctly, interferes with another part of the interior, places unnecessary pressure on a surface or allows too much movement.

3. Test the installation

We test how the mount installs, how easily it can be removed and how it behaves once a phone or device is attached.

Where relevant, we also look at clearance around gloveboxes, cupholders and other interior functions.

4. Test stability

A phone mount should not only work while the vehicle is parked.

Our designs are developed with real driving in mind, including uneven roads, acceleration, braking, cornering and more spirited use.

For track-device applications, rigidity becomes even more important because the mounted equipment can be larger and heavier than a phone.

5. Test materials and temperature

Porsche interiors can become extremely hot when parked in the sun.

GT3Designs is based in the Gulf, which gives us the opportunity to evaluate materials in particularly demanding summer conditions, where vehicle cabin temperatures regularly climb well above 70°C.

This is one of the reasons material selection is an important part of our design process.

6. Improve the design

Testing does not end when a product launches.

Customer feedback, different device weights and different driving conditions can expose opportunities to improve a product further.

When we find a meaningful improvement, we redesign the component rather than leaving it unchanged simply because the existing version already works.

Why We Use a Carbon-Reinforced ASA Polymer

Current GT3Designs mounts are manufactured from a carbon-fibre-reinforced ASA engineering polymer.

We selected it because a vehicle interior creates a very different environment from an office or home.

A mounting component may be exposed to:

• High cabin temperatures
• Direct sunlight
• UV exposure
• Continuous mechanical load
• Vibration
• Repeated installation and removal

ASA offers strong resistance to heat and UV exposure, while the carbon-fibre reinforcement increases rigidity and contributes to the distinctive technical surface finish of the final part.

The result does not have the perfectly smooth appearance of an injection-moulded consumer product, and that is intentional.

The visible texture is part of the material and manufacturing process and gives GT3Designs mounts their characteristic functional, motorsport-inspired appearance.

Small Details Matter Inside a Porsche

Mounting a phone is easy.

Mounting one inside a premium interior without making the solution feel out of place is considerably harder.

That is why we spend time on details that may initially appear minor.

Suede-lined contact surfaces

Where appropriate, contact surfaces are lined with suede material to create a softer interface between the mount and the vehicle interior.

Chamfered edges

Contact edges are chamfered rather than left sharp to reduce concentrated contact against leather or Race-Tex surfaces.

Adjustable positioning

Our phone configurations use an adjustable ball-joint system that allows the viewing angle to be changed to suit the driver and device.

Interchangeable heads

Depending on the product, owners can choose between magnetic mounting, wireless charging and other compatible mounting configurations.

Customization

GT3Designs products can also be personalized with selected text, colours and printed magnetic-head designs.

We believe customization should complement the car rather than overwhelm it, which is why the overall mount remains intentionally simple.

Made to Order

GT3Designs products are made to order in small batches rather than being mass-produced as universal accessories. Finish and quality are always checked before shipping.

That gives us flexibility to offer different configurations and continue improving components without waiting for large volumes of existing inventory to be exhausted.

It also allows customers to personalize selected products.

What started as a solution for one Porsche has grown into a small international community of owners.

Since GT3Designs started online sales in April 2026, we have completed more than 450 orders to customers in 29 countries, and we ship to more than 90.

Our mounts are now being used in Porsche 911s, Caymans and Boxsters around the world, from daily-driven cars to GT models and cars used for spirited road and track driving.

For a small independent brand, seeing a mount that began as a prototype on my own desk installed in a Porsche thousands of kilometres away never gets old.
